About

The service provides restaurant owners with comprehensive reservation management. Subscribing restaurants use an Electronic Reservation Book (ERB) to replace existing paper reservation systems; ERB is an integrated software and hardware solution that computerises restaurant host-stand operations. The ERB handles reservation management, table management, guest recognition, and email marketing.

 

How does it work?

The OpenTable integration for K Series is a custom integration developed in partnership with OpenTable to offer a seamless two-way sync mechanism between OpenTable and Lightspeed K Series. Reservation seating events in OpenTable will open a new check in Lightspeed and all check data from Lightspeed is synced back to OpenTable.  

The integration is FREE, customer only needs to pay for the K Series and the OpenTable subscription.

How can a customer start using the integration?

Customer onboarding is currently a manual process that needs to be completed by OpenTable and Lightspeed. To get started, complete the OpenTable Integration Sign Up form:

How long does it take for the integration to be enabled?

The integration must be manually enabled on Lightspeed and OpenTable, so it may take up to a day to enabled the integration. Someone from Lightspeed will get in touch with the customer to onboard them.

What information is synced to Lightspeed from OpenTable?

Customer data, including first name, last name, and email address are synced to Lightspeed from OpenTable when the guest is seated. If the guest is associated with a reservation, then the reservation ID is also synced to Lightspeed. 

What information is synced to OpenTable from Lightspeed?

All financial data is sent to OpenTable in real-time. 

How are OpenTable table status set?

When a check associated with a reservation is paid in Lightspeed, the status in OpenTable will also change to 'Paid'. Currently, only Seated and Paid statuses are supported (v1), with support for Appetizer, Entree, and Dessert statues coming in the next release.

Can I disable the automatic check creation in Lightspeed?

No. This will be added in the next release. 

Can I view the OpenTable Guest/Visit Notes or Tags in Lightspeed?

We are working on a custom view to display this information inside Lightspeed and it will be available in a future release.
